The episode begins at the Octopod, where Kwazii was getting ready for school, but he wasn't thrilled about it. Not because he is going to school, but because of a week that it his least favorite of the month; Teacher Swap Week! Which is a day that any teacher selected will be switched with another teacher from another school to teach a class that is new to them, but that was the problem, because Kwazii was going to miss his friends and is afraid that Middle Thai high won't be as fun as Disney Junior Elementary School. He then let out a sigh but tried to look at the positive side. At least he'll meet some nice kids there and maybe he'll make some new friends too when he gets there. After he was done packing, Kwazii's iDisney buzzes as he picks it up and gets a video call from his friends Sofia, Captain Jake, and Connor who all want to wish him good luck at Middle Thai High just when Sofia asked him if he's nervous. With a small chuckle, Kwazii responds that he's not nervous, but he will miss them at DJES just as Connor reminds Kwazii that being in a new school for a week won't mean he won't see them after school, and plus Captain Jake adds, they'll be okay with Mrs. Woodrow, the teacher from Middle Thai High. Besides, she might be as cool as Kwazii and the other teachers of DJES.

Besides, she might be as cool as Kwazii and the other teachers of DJES.

After taking that, Kwazii decides that they are right and that he should enjoy his weekly stay at the new school while he can, before saying goodbye to his friends when Captain Barnacles enters his room to see if he's ready. Lowering his head and slightly frowning, Kwazii replies that he is but asks with worry if he has to go to Middle Heights High as Captain Barnacles yes but then assures him that he'll be fine and it's okay that new places like a new school can be a bit scary at first, but they can be as fun and exciting as he (Kwazii) thinks and knowing Kwazii, Captain Barnacles knows that he'll do great there. Plus, it's only for one week as it's not like he'll be staying there forever. After taking that advice, Kwazii decides that his captain was right and felt a boost of confidence as he replies that he know he'll do great like his friends said, so now he was off to Middle Heights High as he and Captain Barnacles made their way down to the Launch Bay, where they were greeted by Tweak as she wishes Kwazii good luck at his first week at Middle Heights High and encourages him that he can do this, which made him feel better as he hops into the Gup-B and waves at his friends before Tweak opens the Octo-Hatch and off Kwazii went... to a new place with a new school.

Later, when the Gup-B emerged from the seawater, he jumps out of his gup and onto the deck and makes his way to the school, just as he arrives and stops in front of the building to take out a piece of the parchment paper to look at it and then look back up at the building while whispering to himself, "Well. This is the place." The school was huge, almost as huge as DJES, as Kwazii gulped but tells himself to pull himself together as this is just one week of being here at Middle Heights High and remembered the encouraging words his friends back home told him. After taking a few breathes, Kwazii makes his way to the concrete stairs just when he saw two students walking right passed him, and he noticed that they looked polite and calm and they had those smiles on their faces but their eyes looked blank that it made Kwazii uneasy. However, Kwazii shook that off of him as he climbed up the stairs and made his way through the school doors just to find the hallway full of smiling students and stern looking teachers. Strangely, the hallway wasn't noisy or crowded like the usual halls back at Disney Junior Elementary School, but thankfully to Kwazii, he can go to the principal's office without a worry as he made it to a door that read ''Principal's Office'' and walked into the principal's office, where he finds the principal sitting at his desk and writing in papers just when he looked up and saw Kwazii come in as he prompted him to take a seat. Although feeling uneasy again while clutching his backpack's straps, Kwazii did what the principal, Principal Richards, said as he sat down and thanked him for inviting him to Middle Heights High at Teacher Swap Week, and it is a pleasure to meet him. With a growing smirk, Principal Richards replies that it's his pleasure to meet him as well just when he noticed the cuff ocean pearl bracelet on Kwazii's glowing slightly wrist while shaking his paw with his hand as he takes it away and resumes by saying that Middle Heights High has been looking forward to seeing Kwazii come here as he has heard many interesting things about him from DJES. Hearing that made Kwazii appreciated as he thanked the principal before saying that he is thrilled to be here as well, even in truth, he wasn't, then just as Principal Richards turns back to face Kwazii as if he heard what he just said, he says to him that he hopes that he (Kwazii) will feel right at home in Middle Heights High because here, everyone, a student or teacher is always welcome with a warm smile, and maybe, he adds with his back turned and grinning sinisterly, if Kwazii likes, he can stay here for a while or in this case, stay forever! Kwazii gasped and suddenly felt his spine start to chill when Principal Richards cleared his throat and smiled cheerily as he says to Kwazii "Now then! Let me take you to the class you'll be teaching!" and adds that there are some nice students who are eager to meet him in person.

As Principal Richards lead Kwazii through the now not-so crowded hallway, Kwazii couldn't help but see that there are no students around anymore while he was in the principal's office. They must've gone into their classes earlier, he thought, which was strange for a school like Middle Heights High, when he and Principal Richards finally arrived at the classroom as he opened the door for him and Kwazii to enter where in the classroom, there were students who were sitting quietly at their desks and had their hands held together on top as Principal Richards introduces their new substitute teacher to them and they all greeted in unison to him (Kwazii). But while Principal Richards was explaining to everyone that Kwazii will be teaching them for a week, Kwazii couldn't help but notice that their clothes and hair looked neat and tidy and that they had the same strange looks on their faces like the students he saw outside the school: the creepy polite smiles and those wide eyes with the blank expressions, and he could feel that they were staring right at him. Right after Principal Richards was done, he leaves Kwazii with what he'll be teaching the students and just before he left in the room as he closes the door behind him and Kwazii turns to look at the students, who were still staring at him with those eyes and creepy smiles that he started to sweat, but again, he pulled himself together by giving himself a mental pep talk and inhaled through his nostrils to calm himself as he finally spoke and tried his best to say in a cheerful tone, "Alright everyone! Let's get started!". He turned to the board and picked up a marker to start writing the lesson on it. But as Kwazii was writing, he still had that creeping feeling that the students were still staring at him, but he kept his cool and tried to focus, until he felt the marker slip from his paw and drop onto the floor as he bent down to pick it up, hoping to not hear one or two of the students snickering, which might've made him feel embarrassed, but thankfully to his surprise, no one laughed. Something strange was going on, he could feel it.

Seven minutes later, the school bell rang and every single one of the students got up to pick up their bags and books before exiting the classroom until at last, Kwazii was the last one to leave, just when he bumped into a girl in a purple shirt, black rounded glasses, and long blonde hair, that her book and papers dropped to the floor! After getting up, Kwazii picked up the book and papers and handed them back to her as he apologizes to her and explains that he thought that he was the last one to get out just as the girl fixed her glasses and chuckled politely as she forgave him for that and admits that it was her fault for not noticing him, while sending Kwazii her strange big smile. Chuckling, Kwazii smiled back a little just as the girl introduced herself as Gretchen and that she just started her school year a month ago, leaving Kwazii intrigued as he explains that he just started here too, but he'll only be in Middle Heights High for a week because of Teacher Swap Week and finally admits that he is nervous. Understandingly, Gretchen explains that she was nervous too since starting high school in her freshman year but then got used to it, thanks to Principal Richards, as she and Kwazii began walking in the hallway together when Kwazii said questioningly "Principal Richards helped you?" as Gretchen nods yes and that he (Principal Richards) helped her see the light which helped her not feel nervous about being in Middle Heights High because here, you're like a part of the family, and Principal Richards is like one big father to the students. Again, Kwazii was intrigued but then asks Gretchen what she meant about the principal helping her see the light just when her wide eyes changed into a terrified expression and her smile curved into a nervous big one, which surprised Kwazii, especially when his ocean pearl bracelet's gems started glowing slightly again as Gretchen notices too and asked Kwazii if his bracelet is suppose to do that as he replied while looking down at it that he doesn't know and that it isn't the first time it's ever done that. However, before Kwazii could say anything, they were interrupted by the second bell as Gretchen didn't want to be late for her next class, so she says goodbye to Kwazii before walking off and Kwazii calls back to her that he'll see her later too, just when he looked down and saw a folded strip of paper lying underneath his boot and he picked it up. It must've fallen off from Gretchen's books when they bumped into each other, Kwazii thought as he tried to call out to Gretchen again, but she was already gone so he decides to open it when he saw some pencil writing hidden under the folded paper and as he unfolded it, Kwazii realized that it was a note as he read the revealed words "Help us!" Kwazii's face then formed a confused expression after reading the note. Help them? Them who, and what do they want him to help them with? Homework? Finally, Kwazii shrugged and decided to spend the rest of the day in Middle Heights High, without having to worry about anything, especially the note. But he also decided to keep the note with him as he shoved it in his pocket before walking back into the classroom to relax, at least until the next group of students come in for their next class.

Later, at lunch time, Kwazii entered the lunchroom just to see so many kids behaving themselves more than in their classes. This was creepier than he thought as he looked around the lunchroom and saw that so many of the kids didn't do what normal kids do at lunchtime in their schools like talking, laughing, texting in their phones, sketching, and doing other silly kids stuff. But all these kids do in this time of lunch was study, read, and eat their lunches quietly, just as Kwazii shook his head and scolded at himself mentally to get it together as they're probably just having quizzes or tests or something like that, and need energy to help them pass them. Just right after getting his tray of food, Kwazii tried to find a place to sit when he turned to see Gretchen waving at him from another lunch table full of other smiling kids that must be her friends, that he decided to go sit with them. But before he could, Kwazii felt a hard hand land and then grip on his shoulder as he gasped and looked up to see Principal Richards staring down at him with a hard look on his face as he tells Kwazii to go sit at the teachers' table, just as Kwazii tried to say to the principal that back at DJES, teachers were allowed to sit with the students at lunch and it wouldn't hurt to go sit with Gretchen and her friends, but Principal Richards responded to him (Kwazii) in a stern tone to go sit at the teachers' table when he sees Kwazii's ocean pearl bracelet glow slightly again that he changed his mind and lets him go sit with Gretchen and her friends.

After Principal Richards walked off, Kwazii stood on his spot for a little while and wondered why the principal would talk to him like that, but again, shrugs and goes to sit with Gretchen and the kids as she and a boy, with a nice jacket and nice combed hair, scoot over to make room for Kwazii. Kwazii thanks them and starts eating his vegan lunch as Gretchen replies no problem and that it's rare for a teacher to sit and eat with the students at lunch, just as Kwazii says again that back at DJES, teachers were allowed to sit with the students at lunchtime, because some teachers are friends with them, and even the headmaster sits with them too. The combed haired boy breathed "Wow!" and tells Kwazii that the school he comes from must be really cool as Kwazii replies with a smile that he knows, and even says that the school is magical, making the boy more interested just as he forgot himself and introduced himself as Chad, Chad Thomas. Again, Kwazii couldn't help but smile back at Chad, as he sees that Chad seems to be a nice boy, a bit too nice like the other students. However, this time, Kwazii didn't mind as he was starting to like not just Gretchen, but Chad too, and starts to think that maybe being in Middle Heights High for a week wasn't so bad at all, like his (Kwazii) old friends back at DJES told him. Maybe, he thought, he'll get used to it after all as he, Chad, and Gretchen soon talked with each other.

Later, at the end of school, the students were silently filing out of the building to go home, but Kwazii, Gretchen, and Chad were last to come out, laughing with and talking to each other like old friends. Then, they stopped as Gretchen says that this has been the best day of school ever, and Chad agrees as this is the first time they've ever talked to a teacher who walks out of school and talks with them. After he stopped chuckling, Kwazii replies with agreement that this is the first time he's ever walked out of school with students from another school just as Gretchen asked him if he's ever done this before at his school, which made Kwazii feel a ping of homesickness in his stomach, or in this case, schoolsickness, just as he replied that he has with two of his friends back at DJES, Princess Sofia and Captain Jake, and then adds to Gretchen and Chad that they kind of remind him of them. When Chad questioned to Kwazii that he and Gretchen do, Kwazii replied that they do and so far, they've been the only students he made friends with since coming to Middle Heights High, and that's what makes being here for a week better. With another big smile, Gretchen thanks Kwazii and is glad that they're all friends here as Chad agrees and wishes that it could stay like this forever, but understands that if Kwazii is staying at Middle Heights High for a week, he'll be going back to Disney Junior Elementary School. Reassuringly, Kwazii says to Gretchen and Chad that he knows that he won't coming back next week, but they'll always be his new friends he's made in their school, as the two students thanks him and Kwazii replies no problem as he suggests that maybe they can walk into school together and have lunch outside in the afternoon. Chad and Gretchen liked the idea and Kwazii replies that he'll be back here bright and early to join them tomorrow before saying goodbye to his new friends.

Later, as Kwazii was watching to the docks to get into the Gup-B, he suddenly stopped as he felt a strange tingle in his fur that someone or something was following him. He continued walking, but when he felt that cold rush pass by him behind, Kwazii jumped and turned to see who or what it was, but no one was there. Until, he looked down to see another folded piece of paper in front of his feet as Kwazii picks it up to unfold it and read another strange message that says "You might be our only hope." Only hope? Kwazii echoed in his head as he was really getting creeped out now and he started asking himself who would send him these notes on his first day at Middle Heights High and why? He then decided that it wasn't important right now as he made his way to the docks.

Later, at the Disney Junior Town Park, Kwazii was having cherry pie pockets for afternoon snacks with his old friends just as Captain Jake asked him how his first day at Middle Heights High was and Kwazii responds that it was fine, he guessed, then he asked how Mrs. Woodrow was. With a slight frown, Sofia replies that Mrs. Woodrow was a bit okay, but she was a bit stern to the students and was also a bit creepy too with that stern look on her face, plus she was kinda scary when she was scolding at them. Kwazii felt sympathetic about that, and responds that if Mrs. Woodrow wasn't creepy enough, his friends should've seen the students at Middle Heights High as Captain Jake, Sofia, and Connor asked what about them and Kwazii explains that the students there were all smiley, polite, neat looking, and perfect and all, but a bit too much of that. Then when he noticed the looks on his friends' faces, Kwazii says to them to not get him wrong as being smiley, neat, polite, and perfect is good for the world, but those Middle Heights High students were off the charts of perfection and those faces of theirs had given him the chills, and what's more is the principal of the school, Principal Richards, whom Kwazii couldn't help but feel a bit creeped out by than being creeped out by the students and their wide eyes and their big smiles. After chewing and swallowing his pie pocket piece, Captain Jake tells Kwazii that they're just glad that he had a good time at Middle Heights High as Kwazii replies that it's only because of his new friends just as Connor asked Kwazii what their names are. With a small smile, Kwazii explains about Gretchen and Chad and that they are like the other students, but they're alright in his book. But still, he thought, Kwazii can't help but feel that there is something wrong with them.

Later that night, Kwazii was asleep, but was starting to have a nightmare. In the dream, Kwazii was walking in the dimly lit hallway of Middle Heights High where all the students were staring right at him with those big blank eyes and having those same eerie smiles on their faces. He could feel his heart pounding and his fur was slightly soaked with his sweat when Kwazii didn't notice that he bumped into a student and fell on his rump as he apologizes and picks up his books and papers while the boy helped him... then sent him that creepy polite smile. Kwazii's eyes widened but he stifled a gasp as he quickly walked away from the boy but not before saying thanks to him as the boy slowly calls to him in that slow but creepy tone "You're welcome..."

This was starting to creep out Kwazii as the halls suddenly echoed with the voices of the students whose eyes were still glued to him when suddenly, Kwazii stops in front of the Principal's Office just when it suddenly let out a glowing purple light that was starting to grow brighter and brighter that Kwazii had to shield his eyes until he flipped them open and soon, found himself in his bed.

Atlantic: Strange Things At Middle Heights High is the 3rd episode of Season 62.

Summary

On Teacher Swap Week, Kwazii swaps with a teacher from Middle Heights High named Mrs. Woodrow and becomes creeped out when he sees that all the students in the school are too well behaved and when he starts receiving strange notes he keeps finding out of nowhere until he discovers a dark secret about what is happening and why it's happening when he befriends Gretchen and Chad Thomas (two of the students that have been brainwashed in the detention room), but when Principal Richards finds out about the substitute's plan to save the students and also his attempt to escape, he'll do anything he can to prevent Kwazii from sabotaging his perfect plan and keep him (Kwazii) in Middle Heights High-forever!

Plot

The episode begins at the Octopod, where Kwazii was getting ready for school, but he wasn't thrilled about it. Not because he is going to school, but because of a week that it his least favorite of the month: Teacher Swap Week! Which is a day that any teacher selected will be switched with another teacher from another school to teach a class that is new to them, but that was the problem, because Kwazii was going to miss his friends and is afraid that Middle Heights High won't be as fun as Disney Junior Elementary School. He then let out a sigh but tried to look at the positive side. At least he'll meet some nice kids there and maybe he'll make some new friends too when he gets there. After he was done packing, Kwazii's iDisney buzzes as he picks it up and gets a video call from his friends Sofia, Captain Jake, and Connor who all want to wish him good luck at Middle Heights High just when Sofia asked him if he's nervous. With a small chuckle, Kwazii responds that he's not nervous, but he will miss them at DJES just as Connor reminds Kwazii that being in a new school for a week won't mean he won't see them after school, as they'll still hang out together after school, and plus Captain Jake adds, they'll be okay with Mrs. Woodrow, the teacher from Middle Heights High.
