Badili at the Tree of Life is the 58th episode of Season 50.
Summary[]
When Badili’s home tree is destroyed during a lightning storm, Connor helps Kion and Rani find the perfect new home tree for him at the Tree of Life, but Makucha and his army have been given an assignment by Zira’s spirit to prevent him from finding a new home.
Plot[]
The episode begins at the Backlands, where it is nighttime and Badili is seen sleeping in his tree. Suddenly, a storm comes towards him and as it gets near, it shoots a lightning bolt at Badili’s tree, which wakes him up as he jumps out in time before he falls along with the crashing tree as it catches on fire and he can’t do anything but watch it burn while rain starts pouring down to put it out.
The following morning, Connor and Kion are sent by King Simba for an urgent matter just as Kion asks what was so urgent about it. As they arrive at Pride Rock, they are greeted by Kovu, Kiara, and Nala, who explain to them that someone needs their help just as Kiara moves out of the way to show that it is Badili behind her. Seeing the big friendly leopard makes Connor and Kion surprised as they ask him what he is doing in the Pridelands and if he was supposed to be in the Backlands, but Badili explains that he was until a lightning storm destroyed his tree and now he has nowhere to live in, and not even with the galagos. Then, Connor has an idea as he notes that the Tree of Life has a lot of trees for Badili to live in, and one of them might be perfect for him. However, Kion is uncertain about the idea and he asks Connor if he is sure about having Badili live at the Tree of Life as the place hasn't gotten used to leopards ever since the last attack where Makucha, Chuluun, Ora, Mama Binturong, and their friends invaded it before Kion roared them far, far away. Even the royal family wasn't sure about it, but Connor assures them that the animals will get used to Badili living at the Tree of Life as he (Badili) is a friendly leopard and everyone will get along with him for sure.
Later, back in the Tree of Life, Rani was shocked to hear about a leopard coming to live in the Tree of Life and says that she isn't sure. But Connor assures the queen that Badili is different from other leopards and promises that he (Badili) won't hunt any animals like Machuka and his leap. Badili then introduces him to Rani and promises that he will respect the Circle of Life if she lets him make the Tree of Life his new home. Finally, after some hesitation, Rani allows Badili to stay, just so long as he does respect the Circle of Life. And if he doesn't, Rani adds in a strict tone of voice, then she'll have the Night Pride escort him out of his new home and live in the Etherlands. Gulping, Badili splutters that he promises as Bunga and Baliyo lead him to the tallest trees, but not knowing that some other leopards have been watching them, and they were Machuka, Fahari, and Jiona, who make their way back to the Etherlands to report the news to Zira.
